AUCTION NO: 14415
The auction will be held at 12 noon BST on Thursday 6 May at Dreweatts Donnington Priory salerooms in Newbury (UK) and will be conducted in GB Pounds Sterling / £.  All lots are stored and can be viewed by appointment at Piet Jonker (Netherlands), NOT Dreweatts.  The Dreweatts 360 Virtual Auction Tour will be available from Thursday 15 April.  Many of the lots already have additional detail images and condition reports.  For further details on registration, bidding, viewing & condition reports, please see below.  Bidders from the UK and outside of the European Union should be aware that additional import charges may apply (see SHIPPING below).

AUCTION FORMAT: LIVE ONLINE
This is a live online auction with an auctioneer.  Bidding is available online, by telephone or commission (absentee) bids.  If not bidding online, please contact Dreweatts to register all commission bids or telephone bids by 12 noon BST on Wednesday 5 May. REGISTRATION:
We advise clients to register at least 48 hours in advance of the auction as you may be asked to provide documents to verify your identity.  Registration for new clients will close at 12 noon BST on Wednesday 5 May.

BUYER’S PREMIUM:
Buyer’s premium is charged per lot at 25% of the hammer price (30% including VAT) up to and including £500,000, 20% (24% including VAT) of the hammer price from £500,001 up to and including £1,000,000, and 12% of the hammer price (14.4% including VAT) in excess of £1,000,001.

IMPORT VAT: 
Bidders from the UK and outside of the European Union should be aware that additional import charges may apply.

PAYMENTS: 
Once the auction has concluded, you will receive an invoice by email with a link to our online payment page as well as collection and shipping information.  Where auctions finish late in the afternoon or evening, invoices will be sent out the next working day.   Please note, we cannot accept payment by telephone for Lots bought by first time bidders.   For details on other payment methods, please see our website here  

COLLECTION:
Before being able to collect your purchases, you are required to pay the hammer price, plus the applicable commissions, and obtain a receipt acknowledging payment. Collection of the purchased lots is at the purchaser's risk and expense.

STORAGE:
All items are stored at Piet Jonker B.V., Rijksstraatweg 23, 1936 JC Baambrugge, The Netherlands.

Items will be available for collection from Piet Jonker B.V. once the hammer price plus all applicable commissions have been paid in full to Dreweatts.  Piet Jonker B.V. will provide one month’s storage free of charge until close of business on Monday 7 June 2021. Items not collected by this date will incur storage charges at a rate of £7.50 per pallet per week. These charges will be the sole liability of the purchaser and will be billed directly to them by Piet Jonker B.V.  On payment of all sales and storage costs, items will be available for collection by appointment from Piet Jonker B.V.

SHIPPING:
We do not offer a shipping service ourselves, but we give below details of a company that would be happy to give you a quote for shipping. Please note that lots will not be released until they are paid for in full, and the cost of shipping/despatch is payable direct to the company concerned. Please also note that we will need your prior authorisation before we release goods to any packer / shipper. Bidders from the UK and outside of the European Union should also be aware that additional import charges may apply.  Eg for shipments to the UK:

  • Lots more than 100 years old will be liable to an import charge of 5% on the hammer price in addition to the BP and VAT
  • Lots made in the last 100 years will be liable to an import charge of 20% on the hammer price in addition to the BP and VAT

LOT DESCRIPTION SYMBOLS GLOSSARY:

λ - Indicates that this lot may be subject to Droit de Suite royalty charges.

Y - Indicates that this lot may be subject to CITES regulations when exported.

† - Indicates that VAT is payable by the purchaser at the standard rate of 20% on the hammer price as well as being charged on the buyers’ premium.

Ɵ - Indicates that the lot is a zero rated item and therefore subject to buyer’s premium of 25% exclusive of VAT (0% VAT). 

‡ - Indicates that the lot is being sold whilst subject to temporary importation and that VAT is due at the reduced rate (5%). 

Ω - Indicates that the lot has been imported from outside the EU and is liable to the standard rate of Import VAT currently 20% on the hammer price.

β - Indicates that the lot is offered in Bond. This applies to wine. Bidding will be at duty paid prices other than for those lots marked ‘IN BOND/β’.
